Right at the beginning of 2012, the direct sales enterprise LR Health & Beauty Systems launches its new website: a completely redesigned, central online portal, including extranet for partners and many innovative and helpful features. For instance, sales partners can find all tools essential for their LR business in a toolbox on the start page of the private my-lrworld.com extranet area, accessible via log-in, in versions for 28 different countries. Moreover, through the virtual company tour, LR offers its sales partners a great and
comprehensive insight into the company. What’s more, all important contacts are just a click away. The extranet is aimed at making business easier for LR sales partners and providing them with an enhanced service.
The public area of lrworld.com boasts a particularly clear, fresh and modern design, contrasting strongly with the extranet for sales partners and the online shop. The user is welcomed with an eye-catching header image and can select from 18 languages via a drop-down menu. A clear and reduced menu navigation allows for much easier navigation within a page. The user can directly access the required subjects, products or areas via a tag cloud. Image galleries and video clips round off the new website and make it an interesting experience for everybody. Oliver Blotenberg, Head of Sales Communications at LR and responsible for the company’s “Internet relaunch” project, commented on the result: “Through the new LR website we have designed an online platform that highly strengthens our international sales structure via the online channel.
The new web presence is leaner, cleaner and visually clearer thanks to the colour codes of the different network systems.”
Technological innovations, based on the latest Typo3 version, were the key objective of the project, reducing the amount of maintenance for the 30 online editors or so of the respective LR locations. Furthermore, test and acceptance systems for improvement of the online portal as well as release management structures were implemented, with the aim of adapting the new online portal to LR’s needs for a central and international information and distribution channel.
With the relaunch of its website, the Münsterland-based company sets further standards in the direct sales industry.
The renowned agency TWT Interactive was responsible for implementing the relaunch; their list of clients includes well-known companies such as Henkel, ToysRUs, Deutsche Telekom, Kaufhof and Deutsche Bank.
