Innovative technology for "Made in Germany" quality
LR invests around 1 million euros in the Ahlen headquarters: Opening of a new research and development centre for over 50,000 scientific analyses a year.
For over 25 years, LR Health & Beauty has stood for professional training, research and development. Today, the company sets a further milestone for uncompromising quality assurance according to German standards. The leading marketing enterprise for body care, beauty products and dietary supplements has made an investment amounting to about EUR 1 million in a research centre for dietary supplements and products, comprising over 320 sqm with modern laboratory and test equipment which was officially commissioned today. It is one of the most modern facilities of its kind in Europe. LR also abides by the highest safety standards in the market.
More than 16 employees work in the new research centre - from milk lab assistants to food technologists. The aim is to offer training for chemical/technical assistants (CTA) at the Ahlen headquarters (NRW) in the future. The highly sensitive devices should enable a broader analysis range for the development of innovative products and monitoring of new production processes in the future. From now on, many processes can be conducted internally, making the work more economical, faster and more flexible.

Moreover, this investment of a million euros highlights LR’s commitment to its central location in North Rhine-Westphalia. It ensures jobs and paves the way for further expansion and globalisation in future", explained Dr. Jens M. Abend, CEO and Spokesman of LR concerning the relevance of the major project.
"The new research centre features state-of-the-art equipment in compliance with the highest technical standards which in particular enable specific analyses of dietary supplements and products. From now on, we are able to determine parameters and its assessment is rarely offered as routine analyses from commercial labs", said Sabine Larsen-Vefring, Head of Research, Development and Quality Assurance for dietary supplements at LR.
