Every product development starts with an idea that corresponds to an existing or future need of people.
Bringing the idea to life requires intensive research and review of the data situation. Key considerations before committing to developing a product are the effectiveness of the individual raw materials and the technology used to process them.
The validated results serve as the foundation for a comprehensive product briefing, which then enables the start of production.
Firstly, our raw materials are tested separately to determine the optimum concentration and the qualitative and sensory profile. These findings form the basis for a stable recipe.
Once the raw materials have been successfully tested individually, they are mixed into the first formulation, which is optimised through several tests. The formulation is complete once the desired sensory properties, appearance, and effect have been achieved.
Once the formulation has been finalised, it is subjected to comprehensive testing procedures. Among other things, it undergoes stability and stress tests, as well as application and preservative load tests. Depending on the product type, additional specialised tests are carried out by independent testing institutes such as Derma Consult or Dermatest.
The next step is the ‘scale-up’, the transfer of the laboratory scale (100 - 15,000 g) to the production scale (2,000 - 10,000 kg).
The formulation, now scaled up to production, is being subjected to further application, stress, and stability tests to ensure safety and hygiene during storage and use.
After successfully passing all tests, the formulation is approved and filled into the appropriate packaging. Product development usually takes several months. This long development phase ensures that every product solution meets our high quality standards.
Our product solutions contain nothing but carefully selected ingredients that are based on the latest research results and are developed and processed in collaboration with our long-standing suppliers and partners. Our most important raw material, aloe vera, is IASC-certified, which guarantees excellent quality. Our aloe vera is grown naturally without the use of pesticides or fertilizers. For us, this is a prerequisite. The aloe vera leaf gel is extracted using a particularly gentle method, ensuring that all its beneficial properties are preserved.
In our beauty and skincare sector, we consciously eschew the use of microplastics, parabens and mineral oils. As a result, we are able to come up with particularly effective product solutions that contribute to individual wellbeing.
We protect our advanced developments with patents, wherever possible. This allows us to safeguard innovative solutions and strengthen our market position.
